here are things that seem like they are just made for each other: Beards and tattoos, for example; beers and cigarettes. Or, in this case, Sweden and hardcore. In the early Nineties bands like Refused, Abhinanda, Raised Fist, or Breach impressed fans worldwide with their untamed energy and fresh, creative ideas. But when longstanding institutions such as the Burning Heart label slowly dwindled away, the Swedish hardcore and punk scene was harmed irreparably, too - or so it seemed. In reality, Sweden is and always was host to an amazing punk and hardcore scene, which made great use of the relatively little media awareness it garnered in recent years. With the focus shifted to post metal and gloomy post rock, bands like Grieved, No Omega or GRACE.WILL.FALL were able to freely rediscover, and revive, a rugged (D.I.Y.-) spirit, developing a sound as fierce and explosive as ever. GRACE.WILL.FALL from Jonköping have been active as a band for more than ten years. Despite the usual plethora of line up changes, they managed to release two full lengths ("s/t", 2007, and "Second Album", 2010) as well as various EP-, split- and sampler contributions (among them the 2011 EP "Punkjävlar"). Now the five-piece has assembled eleven brand new hardcore smash hits on their third album, ,No Rush", due to be released via Midsummer Records on March 28, 2014. Looking for big surprises and mind-blowing experiments? Then "No Rush" might be a letdown. But all those who want to feel the abrasive energy, raw emotion, and wild charm of honest Swedish hardcore should make sure not to miss out on this one!
