EELS - HOMBRE LOBO

 

Repress! 2009's 'Hombre Lobo' was the first in a trilogy of concept albums from Eels, completed by 2010's quickfire nd Times' and 'Tomorrow Morning'. Full of comparatively straightforward rock songs about desire that largely centre around a character called 'Dog Faced Boy' (a grown up character referred to in the Eels' 'Souljacker' album) it sharpened and revitalized Mark Oliver "E" Everett's songwriting appetite.
