VENOM - DEADLINE DEMOS 1986

 

DEADLINE would have been the follow-up to the POSSESSED album, but was never properly recorded or released, due to VENOM Founder MANTAS departing the band in 1986. A little known fact about the recordings is that around half of the guitar work is by MANTAS, while the rest of the tracks feature JIM CLARE (aka JIMI C). Possessed-type tendencies were laid down. Then nothing. Not a thing. Until, that is, the bombshell hit that my guitar hero for all those years had only left the band!
