When Johnny Cash With His Hot And Blue Guitar was originally released in 1957, Cash became the first Sun artist to release a long playing album. A mix of classic tunes (like Leadbelly's "Rock Island Line", Hank Williams' "[I Heard That] Lonesome Whistle", and Jimmie Skinner's "Doin' My Time") and a handful of Cash's own soon-to-be classics (like "Country Boy"), this album put the 23-year-old Cash fast on the fast track to superstardom. All songs taken from 1957 Sun studio sessions
