After the release of "Gone Again" 1996, Patti went out on tour, starting her jaunt in Europe, and she performed at the Markthalle in Hamburg, Germany on 1st August ‘96, where the set featured on this release was recorded, via an FM Broadcast which was simulcast and transmitted across a number of US stations. Featuring an eclectic and far reaching set-list, including tracks from all her previous albums, as well as three cuts from Gone Again. Covers of Dylan’s ‘Wicked Messenger’, The Doors’ ‘Crystal Ship’, and Prince’s ‘When Doves Cry’ are all welcome additions to the show and uniquely performed, and they complete a gig which found Patti back out in front of an audience headlining for the first time in almost a decade, and doing so as though she’d never been away.
