The Adicts fall in a wonderful gap between punk and new wave. This album is more new wave-ish than Songs of Praise but less so than 5th Overture, with great songs like Troubador and California. Most of the tracks could've easily been singles--after I loaned this to a friend he asked if it was their greatest hits. Had the album been released on a larger lable, had the Adicts' Clockwork Orange persona been as marketable as their music, they might have shared ranking with U2. Alas, this is a treat for those lucky enough to find it!
