The searingly powerful and sweepingly addictive debut album from contemporary Black Metal band BLOOD ABSCISSION arrived in August 2023 as a bolt from the blue, with no information except an evocatively obscure cover image, track-titles in Roman numerals and the music.

 

An astonishing slice of emotive and transcendent modernist Black Metal, the unnamed band-members lash sumptuous, tumultuous tremolo melodies and hook-laden synth to a compelling song-cycle - funnelling piledriving rage, existential anguish and captivating musicality with unstoppable momentum.

 

Bolstered by mystery and growing in importance, clamour has increased for physical editions of this stunning work, which DMP is now proud to present in tandem with the release of second album “II”.
