Misery Signals is a progressive metalcore[1]  band formed in Wisconsin in 2002.[2]  The sound of their music is defined by bright melodies backed up by odd time signatures, chugging riffs, and breakdowns. They share a similar style to Shai Hulud playing technical hardcore but were formed after the designation metalcore was invented.
